Gardening Club

We are in the middle of winter, but the sun was shining and a warmth was radiating in the air today. It was the perfect time to harvest some of the crops in the garden. A large tub was filled with delectable carrots, crunchy cos lettuce and colourful rainbow chard.

Our garden is located outside the Art Room and was established earlier this year when students across all year levels were learning about biological sciences. In particular, the Grade 3/4 students helped establish the garden in Term 1, as they were learning about how plants grow. Students were selected in both 3/4A and 3/4B to be responsible for watering the plants daily.

Also, another big thank you to all the other students who have helped establish and maintain the garden throughout the year.
