As we begin this new school term, we thank You for the opportunities that lie ahead to learn, to grow, to make new friendships, and to become the people You created us to be.

Walk beside us each day as we return to our classrooms and routines. Fill our hearts with curiosity, our minds with wisdom, and our spirits with joy.

Give us the courage to try new things, the perseverance to keep going when learning is challenging, and the confidence to use the gifts and talents You have given us.

Help us to grow not only in knowledge but also in faith.

May we come to know You more deeply through prayer, through the celebration of the Eucharist, through the kindness of others, and through the beauty of Your creation.

As we grow closer to You, help us to become more compassionate, patient, forgiving, and loving in all that we do.

Bless us as they discover new ideas and develop their unique gifts.

Bless our teachers as they guide, encourage, and inspire.

Bless our families who support us with love and care each day.

Strengthen our whole St Carlo Borromeo community so that together we may reflect Your love and be a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and safe.

When we experience success, help us to be grateful.

When we make mistakes, remind us that each day is an opportunity to learn and begin again.

May we always treat one another with respect, celebrate each person's gifts, and work together with generous hearts.

As this new term unfolds, may we continue to grow in wisdom, faith, hope, and love.

Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, our teacher and friend, so that everything we learn and every kindness we share brings us closer to You.

Fr Stephen Wang is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Westminster (UK) and currently serves as the Rector of the Venerable English College in Rome, where he helps form future priests. Ordained in 1998, he has many years of pastoral experience, including parish ministry in London and extensive work as a university chaplain, accompanying young adults in their faith journeys.

Fr Stephen is widely known for his engaging and practical approach to sharing the Catholic faith. He is the creator of the Sycamore programme, an internationally used resource designed to make Christianity accessible and meaningful.

Whether your children are just beginning their faith journey or exploring deeper questions, this session will equip you with inspiration, tools and encouragement to accompany them with grace and purpose.

We joyfully congratulate our Year 4 students who recently received the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for the very first time. This is a very special step in their faith journey as they welcomed Jesus into their hearts in a new and beautiful way.

We are so proud of the reverence, joy, and preparation our students showed leading up to this sacred celebration. Thank you to their families, teachers, and parish community for supporting them along the way.

May this be the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Jesus, nourished by love, prayer, and the grace of the Eucharist.

Following our Grandparents' Masses this term, we warmly invite grandparents to spend some special time in the classroom, where they will enjoy a shared activity with the students.

While the children and their grandparents are together, parents are invited to relax in the staffroom and enjoy a cup of tea and a chance to connect with other families.
