WPS Take Home Reading Challenge

This term, Wollert Primary School is excited to start our Take Home Reading Challenge. We want to help all students build a love of reading and develop a reading habit at home.

How does it work?

• Read at home each night.
• Read for at least 10–15 minutes.
• Tick or record each night on your Reading log.
• Return your reading log to your teacher each week.

Your child can read:

• Take Home Readers
• Library books
• Decodable Readers
• Chapter books
• Picture books
• Books from home
• ebooks

You can read to your child, listen to them read, or enjoy a book together.

At the end of the challenge, the student from each year level with the most nights of reading will receive a special prize from the Library.

Every night of reading helps your child become a stronger reader. Thank you for supporting your child's learning at home.
