2026 Theme for Wollert Primary School: Empowerment

Dear Wollert Primary School Families,
Welcome back for the term! I hope everyone had a lovely break with their families and friends and feels energized for the upcoming weeks. I wanted to highlight some events that took place at the end of the final week of Term 3.
A massive congratulations to Betsie for the school's inaugural Art Show at Wollert! The artwork of the students was very impressive, and I felt as if I was walking in an art gallery completed by professional artists.

I would also like to acknowledge the Athletics Carnival for our Year 4-6 students, which took place on the second last day of Term 2. Thank you to Narelle and Aimee for all your hard work on this event. It was a fantastic school community event, and the students loved it. I’m still recovering from the Teachers vs. Students relay race! The junior students participated in a modified version back onsite.
These community events continue to build on our traditions and represent what we stand for. It was wonderful to see families at both events supporting the school and their children as we work together in partnership during their primary school journey.
Please note that next week we will have a curriculum day on Wednesday, July 22nd. The staff will participate in professional learning focused on our key actions and initiatives related to wellbeing, including School Wide Positive Behaviour Support and our Reading approach at Wollert Primary School. Students will not attend school on this day, but TeamKids will be open for supervision throughout the entire day for our families.
We are accepting Prep (Foundation) enrolments for 2027. Hard copy enrolment forms can be found in the office; please see Jacinta in the office for any support. We're sending out enrolment letters to our 2027 Prep (Foundation) students in August and are eager to begin the transition period. If you are enrolling a sibling of a current student at our school, and both children will be attending simultaneously, your child will be prioritised for a place according to the department’s Placement Policy. For more information, please visit vic.gov.au/enrolling-foundation-prep.
We are currently offering individual tours on Wednesdays for any 2027 Foundation students. We invite the child to join as it provides insight into our spaces and allows us to discuss our transition and learning programs at the school and what we can achieve together. We will continue to provide this support throughout the year and showcase what we have to offer our learners
I would like to address an important safety issue for our community. If your child is riding a bike or scooter to school, please make sure they wear a helmet to ensure their safety. If a child does not have a helmet, staff members will instruct them to walk their bike or scooter home for safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students.
We, the staff at Wollert PS, are excited for this term and the engaging work and learning that will support your child's academic and wellbeing outcomes. We are ready to go!
