Year 10 Exams
Week 8 is exam week: Monday 25 – Friday 29 November. The exam timetable is below, as well as appearing on Compass.
- Students need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to all exams.
- Line up on the basketball courts next to the Exam Hall in full school uniform, and with all required materials.
Students are only required at school during their scheduled exams. Room B2 will be available as a study space for students to use throughout the entire exam period if they wish.
VCE Kickstart
Following exams, all Year 10 students will undertake a Kickstart (transition) program. They will officially start their Year 11 program by attending Year 11 VCE classes for two days (4 - 5 December). Individual timetables will appear on Compass for students. It is essential all students attend as teachers will begin delivering Unit 1 content, including disseminating holiday homework.
Year 11 classes for VCE Vocationl Major (VM) students will run on Wednesday 4 December. Students will then attend an excursion to Lady Northcote on Thursday 5 December. Parent/carer consent is required on the Compass event. Please note,
Please note that Y10 students do not attend school Mon 2 Dec and Tue 3 Dec.
Clashes and absences
If students are accelerating and are enrolled in a Year 12 subject for next year, the Unit 3 Kickstart program will run throughout Year 10 exam week (Week 8). If students have a clash between their Year 10 class and exams, the priority is to attend exams.If students miss a Unit 3 Kickstart lesson due to exams, they must speak with their teacher and ensure they catch up on missed work during the summer break.
If students know they are going to be absent for any of the above dates, please let Morgan Rose know ASAP so the sub-school can do our best to reschedule exams and ensure students have access to all the Kickstart materials.
The official last day of classes for Year 10 students is Thu 5 Dec.
