John XXIII Netball Club

Netball Season Wrap-Up

As another fantastic netball season comes to a close, we would like to congratulate all players, coaches, managers, umpires, and supporters who contributed to a successful year of netball.

This week, we celebrated the achievements of our players at two special events. On Monday evening, we held the Secondary Netball Presentation Evening, recognising the dedication, sportsmanship, and accomplishments of our secondary netball athletes throughout the season. On Wednesday, our Primary Netball Wind-Up provided an opportunity for our younger players to celebrate their season, reflect on their progress, and enjoy time together with teammates and families.

Congratulations to all of our award winners on your well-deserved recognition. Your commitment, hard work, positive attitude, and passion for the game have been outstanding.

We are incredibly proud of everything our players have achieved both on and off the court this season.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Netball Club this year. We look forward to seeing our players continue to develop their skills and love of the game in the 2027 winter season. Well done on a wonderful year of netball!

Finals

We are very excited to announce that eight of our Netball Club teams have made it through to the semi-finals this Saturday, 5 September!

This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the dedication, teamwork, resilience, and determination our students have shown throughout the season. Week after week, our players have trained hard, supported one another, and proudly represented the College on and off the court.

Our teams will be taking to the court this Saturday with the opportunity to either secure a place in the Grand Final or progress to next week's Preliminary Final.

We would love to see as many supporters as possible courtside supporting our players. Anyone who has watched netball knows how much a vocal sideline can lift a team. Whether it's a crucial intercept, a sprint for a loose ball, a perfectly timed defensive effort, or that pressure shot under the goal post, our students thrive on the energy and encouragement from the crowd.

The bigger the cheer squad, the louder the support, and the stronger the lift for our players when the game is on the line.

We hope to see you courtside on Saturday, bringing the energy, making some noise, and helping our teams push towards finals success!
