VCE Season of Excellence Top Arts 2025

For the second year in a row, work by a Glen Eira College student has been selected for inclusion in the Top Arts Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Congratulations to Eden Thomas! Eden’s work utilises Braille and is titled Copper lining (please don’t touch the artwork), which relates to:

… my overall theme of the power of the individual, focusing on the intentional occlusion of our ‘sight’ and how information is manipulated and kept from the public. I use accessibility for the blind as a metaphor for this issue… I consulted with Vision Australia for this aspect of the piece, which focuses on the persecution of whistleblowers and people whose attention is directed at injustice and corruption. (ET 2024 Artist Statement)
