From the Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to Term 2.

I hope that the start of the Term has been a positive one for you and your family.

Cyber Attack

Earlier this Term, I updated you on the Cyber Attack incident that took place on 7 April 2024. Further analysis by Forensic IT has confirmed that there is no evidence of any data extraction with the exception of potential screenshots of our file trees/directories. There has been no further communication with the threat actors, nor has any data been released to the dark web. All our data has now been restored and running normally.

Mother's Day Breakfast / Liturgy / Classroom Visits

St Augustine's College is looking forward to hosting our Mother's Day Breakfast on Thursday 9 May from 8:00 am. This event will be held in our Brigidine Centre. Seating will be provided and the breakfast will be served by our Student Leaders and parent volunteers. Following the breakfast, join us for Mass celebrated by Fr Uday in St Augustine's Church and attended by all students in the F-4 Community. Parents and Caregivers are also invited to classroom visits in our wonderful Kildare learning spaces until Recess commences. Further information can be found on our website: Mother's Day Breakfast and Liturgy.

Our Open Day and Information Evening will be held on Tuesday 21 May. We welcome prospective families to our Learning Walks as part of our 2024 College Open Day. Our Information Evening starts at 5:30pm for F-4 prospective families and 6:30pm for Year 5 - 12 families. Please forward this information to any members of the community who you feel may be interested in this event. Further information can be found on our website: Open Day and Information Evening

Playgroup

St Augustine’s Playgroup has recommenced this Term for three to five year old children. The Playgroup is held each Wednesday morning from 9:15am - 10:30am. Our Playgroup provides a fun and safe environment for children to learn, play and socialise with their peers. Through our play-based program, children will develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills in a nurturing and supportive environment. If you are interested in attending our Playgroup with your three to five year old children, or if you know of anyone who may be interested in joining the St Augustine’s Playgroup, you are most welcome.
