Senior School

Mr Matt Miller, Head of Senior School

A strong start: Welcome to our senior students!

Thursday marked the beginning of the 2025 school year for our Year 7 and Year 12 students—one group taking their first steps at St Patrick’s College and the other entering their final year. It was inspiring to see our Year 12 boys stepping up as mentors, guiding their Year 7 buddies around the campus and beginning to build relationships that we hope will grow throughout the year.

By Friday, the school was buzzing with excitement as students reconnected with friends and settled back into the rhythm of learning.

No matter their year level, we encourage all students to give their best effort in everything they do. Hard work and persistence will always be more valuable than talent alone. True success is measured not just by results but by the commitment and determination shown along the way—whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, in the arts, or in their interactions with teachers and peers.

A strong partnership between the school and parents plays a crucial role in helping the boys reaches their full potential. With this in mind, we invite you to join us for the Senior School Parent Information Night on Thursday, 6 February, from 5pm–7pm in the Performing Arts Centre. This evening will provide valuable insights into your son’s VCE journey, along with an opportunity to talk with key staff, including Homeroom Teachers and Year Level Coordinators, who will be supporting him throughout the year.

If you haven’t yet registered, please do so at this link https://www.trybooking.com/CXXUT —we look forward to seeing you there.
