Principal's Address

As we conclude this year at Boorowa Central School, we have had a busy yet happy last two weeks of school celebrating the successes gained across the school community. From the Primary Wagga excursion, merit events and PBL celebrations to the secondary trivia afternoon and our annual Presentation Night closed the year.

During Presentation Night, I shared some acknowledgments that I’d like to reiterate for those not in attendance:

At the end of 2024, we will say farewell to some incredible long serving and temporary part-time colleagues whose dedication and contributions have shaped Boorowa Central School:

P&C employed canteen managers Di Walsh and Edwina Woodhead.

I would like to thank Mrs Anna Dreverman for her time as Faculty Leader of English/HSIE. She has proven herself as a collaborative and supportive leader who encourages and sets high expectations for her staff and students and the school has benefited from her leadership.

The school is also sad to see Mr Jason Stuart moving on to new adventures. He has completely dedicated himself to the position of Assistant Principal of primary and Years 5/6 teacher since 2019. Mr Stuart demonstrates professionalism in every sense and is an outstanding educator and leader. Under his guidance, students have excelled, and he will be sorely missed.

On behalf of the school, I sincerely thank them for their commitment to our students and wish them every success in their future endeavours and hope we see them again in the school soon.

· The Boorowa Central P&C for their ongoing efforts to improve our school including Di Walsh, Edwina Woodhead and Sammi Jansen in our school canteen.

· Our School Administration and Support Staff; the backbone of Boorowa Central School. Tammie, Marg, Leanne, Kat, Vicki, Clair, Mary, Theresa, Michelle, Mechelle, Julia, Paris, Matthew, Aaron, Jaimee, Sascha, Virginia, Fiona, Gill, Charmaine, Chris, Sara, Jayden, Jen, and Kelly—thank you for everything you do.

· Our students: You are the heart of this school. Your achievements—whether academic, sporting, artistic, or personal—are a testament to your hard work and determination. Every accomplishment tells a story, and we are so proud of every one of you.

· Our families: Thank you for being our partners in this shared journey. Your encouragement inspires growth, and we look forward to working with you even more closely in the year ahead.

· Our teaching staff: Your tireless commitment, perseverance, and care are what make this school such a special place. Thank you for supporting our students and their success.

As we look ahead to 2025, I am confident that Boorowa Central School will continue to thrive as a place of learning, growth, and community. I wish everyone a safe and joyful holiday season and look forward to welcoming you all back next year, refreshed and ready for another fantastic year.
