JPPSA Athletics Carnival

This week, the Junior School competed in the annual Interschool Athletics Carnival.

With the preparations being hampered by inclement weather, it was fitting that the carnival was held in very wet and blustery conditions as well. This didn’t deter our athletes as they competed to their fullest all day and achieved some amazing results.

Among the many highlights throughout the day were our Junior School Captain, Mitchell Borman in a dominant 400m win. Daniel Adams, saving himself for a powerful finish to win the Year 4 800m. Gideon Quinn-Smith with an amazing discus win after having to juggle going between his sprint races and completing his throws. Then finally, our year five 4 x 100m relay team taking home the win to help seal our final position on the day.

In a great day of competition, our team came second overall which is a huge effort considering our limited preparation time. Congratulations to Scotch on taking home the shield on the day.
