As part of the Year 9 elective, High Performance Pathways, students have been completing a Pilates unit under the watchful eye of Hannah for Core Pilates. During this time the students gained a greater understanding of what Pilates is and why a number of professional athletes are using it to gain an edge on their competition. Students in the class developed their flexibility, balance, muscular strength (particularly in their abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and glutes) as well as addressing muscle imbalances.
