A reminder that next week, Monday is a Student Free Day as our teachers begin writing end-of-year reports. Tuesday is also a Public Holiday, so we will welcome students back to school on Wednesday.
Families and students are reminded that students are expected to wear the school uniform when attending school. Students are expected to wear our school polo shirt, with navy pants/shorts or a white and blue checked dress. Acceptable outer layers include navy windcheater, school rugby jumper or polar fleece jacket.
We have noticed an increase in students wearing casual jumpers and bottoms (including leggings). We would appreciate families reminding their children about the importance of wearing the appropriate school uniform.
If your family requires support with obtaining school uniform items, please speak with our leadership team. We are more than happy to assist where we can.
While it has been a fun and jam-packed start to the term, we are reintroducing our Behaviour Blitz as part of our SWPBS routines.
We have identified an increase in the use of inappropriate language, particularly in the yard. As a result, we will be focusing on recognising and rewarding students who demonstrate positive and respectful language, while also reteaching expectations through our Better Choices program when students need support to make more appropriate choices.
We will monitor our behaviour data over the coming weeks to determine the impact of this focus. Families can also support us by having conversations with their children about the importance of using respectful language towards everyone within our school community.
Our Step Up Program will commence in Week 7, on Tuesday.
This will be a staged program, gradually building the amount of time students spend in their new setting. Students will have the opportunity to become familiar with their potential 2027 teachers, classmates and learning environments as we begin preparing for the 2027 school year.
As outlined in our SunSmart Policy, students are required to wear a hat when outside during Terms 1 and 4.
Students who do not have a hat will be required to remain in a shaded area of the courtyard during outdoor activities.
School hats can be purchased from the office for $12.
We are currently looking for one Parent Representative to join our School Council.
If you are interested in joining our School Council and having the opportunity to contribute to discussions and help shape decisions that continue to improve our school, please contact the school office for more information.
