NAIDOC Week

It was wonderful to see our students engaging in a range of NAIDOC Week activities last week. This year’s theme was ‘Fifty Years of Deadly’. For five decades, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices of Aboriginal communities which marks a big milestone. Students participated in a range of activities that included NAIDOC poster design activities, storytelling tasks, shared reading experiences, indigenous music lessons and meaningful art activities using natural resources from the Country that Croydon SDS resides- Wurundjeri Country. Learning opportunities such as these continue to help build student awareness and understanding on indigenous perspectives and histories.
