Mother's Day stall TOMORROW
Dear St Michael’s School families,
PRAYER
A prayer for mothers and carers
Loving God,
On this upcoming Mother’s Day,
we give thanks for all mothers, grandmothers, and carers in our community.
We are grateful for their love, their patience,
and the many ways they support and guide our children.
Bless them with moments of rest, joy, and strength.
May they feel appreciated for all they do, both seen and unseen.
Hold in your care all mothers and carers in our hearts today—
those with us, those we remember,
and those who nurture in many different ways.
We ask this with gratitude and love.
Amen.

MOTHERS' & CARERS' DAY / HARMONY DAY
Last Friday we celebrated a wonderful Mothers / Carers breakfast together, followed by some activities in the classrooms. We were delighted with the number of families who attended and joined in the morning's activities. Our Harmony Day focus was wonderuflly enhanced with many who chose to come in national dress and colours of their country's flag. Many others chose to wear orange, the official colour associated with Harmony Day. A wonderful way to celebrate who we are and also those who brought us into this life!
As part of our Mother's Day celebrations, we were incredibly fortunate to have had Martina Cusumano (Clara Yr5 & Leon Yr2) come in to make pasta with her children's two classes last Friday. Dressed in their many colours, the children sifted the flour, mixed the dough and carefully rolled out the delicate cavatelli; a small pasta shell made from Semolina flour. Martina had pre-prepared the sugo (sauce) from the day before to add to the cooked pasta then every child in the school was offered some of this beautiful fresh pasta to taste! Mmmm bounissima!! A beautiful family tradition was shared! And both of these recipes are attached below!
CAMP RUMBUG
What a week for our Year Fives and Sixes at Camp Rumbug, Foster! The weather at the start of week was cool but fine and although there was some rain around, the groups were still able to get through all the activities on their list. The students enjoyed the flying fox, archery, canoeing, tree climbing, the giant swing, the low ropes course and, best of all, the Mud Run!! Much fun was had and hopefully a few skills were learned as well. The students and staff will certainly be enjoying their rest day today!
2026 CLASS CONTACT LISTS
The 2026 Class Contact Lists have all been finalised and we are in the process of emailing these out to families. Thank you for acting on this so quickly and entering your information.
ST MICHAEL'S INTERSCHOOL FOOTY TEAM
Congratulations to our footy team, ably coached by Shae Jesson, on your amazing talents in recent games!! In their very first game they played amazingly well, scoring really well and having fun at the same time. Keep it up! No doubt the AFL scouts will be out at the next match!!
