Principal's Report

Year 5 Camp last week

Wonderful reports from the students and staff about Forest Edge camp, Neerim South.  Despite some rain nearer to Langwarrin, the campers managed to get through the 3 days with minimal wet weather which allowed the fully planned program to go ahead. It is great to hear about our students (and some teachers and parents) attempt many activities that push them outside of their comfort zone, allowing them to further develop their resilience and confidence.

Year 6 Camp this week

Our group of Year 6 students and staff will return home this afternoon after a wonderful, but chilly 3 days at Log Cabin Camp, Creswick. Camps are one of the most amazing experiences of our primary school time and I would like to thank the teachers, school staff and volunteer parents who have organized these and have given up their time to supervise and care for our students.

Pupil Free Days

Please put in the calendar that Friday July 25th is a pupil free day as this is a parent/teacher interview day.   Monday November 3rd is also a pupil free day where staff will be participating in Berry Street Trauma Informed practices professional Learning.

School Council still have one more to schedule (likely to be in Term 3) and we will let you know as soon as it is decided.

Team Kids are always available on these days.

School Tours and Enrolments for 2026

We are very keen to know what our sibling enrolments are likely to be for 2026 so we encourage you to enrol your child as soon as possible. This will assist greatly with our forward planning!  We have school tours happening for new families interested in enrolling in our school.  Put the word out there and let everyone know all the great things we do here at Langy! To book a tour or pick up an enrolment pack, please call by the office and see one of our lovely office team.

Have a great fortnight,

Mrs Pepper
