Hello from Prep B

What a big term we've had!

Wow – what a busy and exciting Term 2 we’ve had in Prep! Our little learners have been hard at work building their sound knowledge and becoming confident sentence writers. We’ve loved diving into stories like Edward the Emu, Edwina the Emu, The Three Little Pigs and The Very Cranky Bear – lots of giggles and great discussions all round!

In Maths, we’ve been strengthening our number knowledge and taking on the tricky teen numbers like champs. In Prep B, we even became data detectives – collecting and graphing our birthdays (turns out November is the month to be born if you’re in Prep B!)

A huge highlight this term was our Inquisitive Forces and Motions science incursion. We became mini scientists for the day, experimenting with catapults, magnets, wind cars, bottle whirlpools, floating ping pong balls and more. It was a hands-on day full of fun, learning and wide-eyed wonder!

We also kicked off our Friendology sessions with Abby, learning how to be 'friendship ninjas' – building strong friendships and learning how to solve those little friendship fires that pop up from time to time.

And let’s not forget our amazing Year 5 buddies, who have been reading and writing with us throughout the term – we’ve loved every moment with them!
