Public Speaking Competition
We are once again offering students in Years 3 to 6 the opportunity to participate in the Lions Club Public Speaking Competition.
Topics include:
Year 3 and 4 - If you could invent something new, what would it be? Tell us about it eg: what it is made of, who it is for, and how it could be used?
Year 5 and 6 - The impact of fast moving technology on our lives and the environment is often overlooked, yet it can be far reaching. Is technology moving too fast for humans to keep up? Discuss.
School Final - Thursday 12th June, 2025 at 2pm
Lions Club Final - Friday 20th June, 2025 at 4:30pm for a 5:00pm start at the Senior Citizens Club
For more information please speak with your child's classroom teacher

Out of Uniform on Your Birthday
At St. Joseph's, we encourage students to wear casual clothes on their birthday. This is so everyone can recognise it is their birthday, greet them as such and celebrate with them on their special day.
Reminder: Parking Restrictions Around Our School
We kindly remind everyone to be mindful of parking restrictions around our school to ensure the safety of our students and the smooth operation of daily drop-offs and pick-ups.
Please avoid parking in designated bus zones, which are located on:
- Broadway Street
- Hay Avenue
- Gregory Street
These areas are strictly reserved for school buses. Parking in these zones can create congestion and pose safety risks for students boarding or exiting buses.
We also ask that you refrain from parking in the staff car park, as this area is reserved for staff members only.
Additionally, we ask that you do not park in the senior citizens' car park on Hay Avenue. This parking area is reserved for elderly members of our community, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping it accessible for them.
Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe and respectful for everyone
