Welcome back for 2026! It promises to be another fantastic year at MPS! 

For those of you who I haven't met, I'm Clare and I am the mum of Elise in Grade 6. 

As Tim mentioned at assembly, we have a number of long-standing School Council members who will finish up in the next year. School Council is a fantastic way to gain a strategic insight in the running of Marlborough Primary School. 

It involves 8 meetings per year (approx. 60-90 minutes), with an opportunity to also be involved in sub-committees. 

Our next meeting will be on Monday 23rd February at 6.30pm, and it would be an ideal opportunity to attend to see how it runs. Nominations for the 2026 School Council are open and must be submitted to the school office by 4pm on the 25th February. 

Meeting dates and times are determined by a consensus of the incoming School Council members and can be attended remotely. 

If you would like to attend our next meeting, please either let myself or Tim know. And if you have any questions about being on School Council, please don't hesitate to ask me.
