As always, we love catching up with news from our former Collegians.
We never fail to appreciate what a small world it is. Wherever we go, we are always absolutely delighted to catch up with our former students. Last Friday, during Mazenod’s Athletics Carnival, I spotted a young man in Year 7, whom I thought looked very much like one of our Old Boys. I was right… this young man was Noah Curtis, the son of our Old Boy, Mazenod College Vice Captain, Michael Curtis (MOC 2006) and his wife, Anna, and the nephew of Gerard Curtis (MOC 2008). Noah was very happy to know that both his Dad and Uncle Ged were in my VCE classes. Like his Dad and Uncle, Noah proudly told me that his goal was to enter every event during our Athletics Carnival! He did so, and through his enthusiasm and determination, Noah achieved all his aims for his first Athletics Carnival at the College! The photos below show both Michael Curtis (MOC 2006) and his son, Noah (MOC 2026) on their first days as students at Mazenod College.

The following day, I attended the Wedding of a close family friend at the Xavier College Chapel. After the Marriage Ceremony, it was wonderful to catch up with my former student, Daniel Kinkela (MOC 2015) and his wife, Kate Apostolopoulos. Daniel is truly a proud Mazenod Old Boy.
The photo below is of Daniel and Anna immediately after the Wedding Ceremony.

Both of us and our MOCA Committee are always available to chat, or to assist our Old Boys in their times of need. In recent weeks, we have been blessed to support our Old Collegians who are experiencing illness in their families, as well as, Old Collegians who have experienced the deaths of loved ones. We seek to support one another by our prayers, friendship and actions.
We are always keen to promote our Old Collegians and their professions, businesses and trades. Please feel free to contact us at Mazenod College. We will include these in our Mazenod College Newsletter, The Mazenod Gazette, as well as on our Alumnly Website and on our Mazenod Old Collegians’ Association Facebook page.

We encourage our Mazenod Old Collegians to sign up and join our alumni digital platform. Please download the Alumnly app and register for a FREE account today.
