University Campus Information Evening

2025 Year 11 and 12

On Wednesday 7th August, Kurnai College will be holding its Year 11 & 12 Parent Information Evening at the University Campus.

Join us for an informative evening designed for current and prospective families, showcasing our college's Year 11 and 12 programs and subjects for 2025 and beyond.

The event will begin with school tours at 5:15 pm, followed by the main presentation at 6:00 pm. In addition, information booths highlighting various subjects and initiatives will be on display in the library.

Camp

This term, 22 Morwell students have the opportunity to go on the Tasmania Camp. They will leave Morwell Campus on Monday 9th September and return on Friday 13th September. They will tour a range of places including Hobart, Port Arthur, Cataract Gorge, Devonport.

Job Skills

On July 23rd, the majority of Year 10 students went to the Job Skills Expo at Lardner Park. They had the opportunity to visit many stalls, collect information, and talk to a range of industries from the area.

Attendance

This year we will be trying to increase student attendance rates especially at Year 10. We would really appreciate a phone call to the 24-Hour attendance line if your child is absent from school. This helps our attendance officer track students and improve our % attendance for each student.

PBS

Students can receive a KPA SMS message to parents from teachers each lesson for positive behaviour. Students are also receiving postcards for displaying consistent behaviours for the four school pillars of Excellence, Relationships, Work Ethic and Engagement. This year we will be rewarding students with great attendance to school and for GPA reports at or above 3.5 as well as growth reports.
