Head of Junior School
Mrs Jo Messer
As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our families for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments. Our boys have achieved so much, and their successes are a reflection of the strong collaboration between home and school.
To our families who are leaving us at the end of this year, whether it be, the end of Junior School years and heading off to the Senior campus or further afield, we wish you all the very best on your new beginnings. Thank you for being part of our Junior School community — you will always remain a valued part of who we are.
To those returning next year, we look forward to welcoming you back after a well-deserved break. May the holidays bring rest, joy, and time with loved ones.
Junior School Community brings Christmas Kindness to Bethlehem House
This week, the Mini Vinnies team delivered 39 Christmas bags of goodies for the men of Bethlehem House. On Christmas morning, the men will open the doors to their apartments and find these parcels waiting for them. Thank you to our incredibly thoughtful and generous Junior School community for donating much-needed items for these men who have fallen on hard times.
Junior School Outreach: A Heartfelt Mission in Action
Last week, a group of our Mini Vinnies Year 5 and 6 boys had a rewarding experience when Mrs Messer and Mrs Graves took them to Kmart to purchase toys for the 2025 Vinnies Christmas Toy Drive.
Throughout the year the Junior School has raised funds for outreach by selling pancakes, milkshakes and many other ventures. The boys had a ball when they split into pairs, grabbed a trolley each and headed to Kmart's toy section, buying toys for age groups: 0-2, 3-5, 6-9 and 10-12 year olds, each pair having a budget to work with.
Members of the public were both intrigued and impressed with our purpose, particularly when the boys were able to articulate our mission. Thank you to our very generous families or have supported our 2025 ventures.
Well done to the boys who came on our shopping venture: Clancy Gillie, Ned Heddle, Logan Skinner, Edwarrd Hickey, Ethan Washington, Hugo Helmers, Angus Hardaker, Panayioti Hiras and Harvey Gilmore.
