House Colours Sports Day – A Celebration of Spirit and Fun!

On Friday, 14th November, our school community came together for one of the most anticipated events of the year – House Colours Sports Day. This annual tradition is more than just a day of games; it’s a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and the vibrant spirit that makes our school so special.

Students proudly donned their house colours and cheered enthusiastically for their teams:

  • Delany (Blue)
  • MacKillop (Red)
  • Pangerang (Gold)

The day was sprinkled with a variety of activities designed to engage students of all ages and abilities. Laughter and cheers filled the air as friends encouraged one another and celebrated each achievement.

House Colours Sports Day is a wonderful reminder of the power of community and the joy of coming together. Our students demonstrated not only athletic skill but also respect, encouragement, and pride in their houses.

A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers who made the day possible, and to our families for their support. Congratulations to all students for their participation and enthusiasm – you truly made this day unforgettable!

Advisory School Council - PLEASE HELP

Our Lady's is seeking to re-establish our Advisory School Council. The Advisory Council serves as a consultative and advisory group for the Principal in order to inform and gain feedback from the broader school community. Members of the Advisory Council;

  • actively support, in collaboration with the local parish, the Vison and Catholic Identity of our school
  • provide parental and local community input into strategic planning, school improvement, child safeguarding practices and school review
  • support the Principal in meeting their accountabilities for educational outcomes, effective stewardship of resources and annual reporting
  • actively support the Principal in the encouragement of parent/carer engagement
  • provide a means by which the CESL Executive (and thereby the CESL Board) can dialogue with and hear from school community members

Nominations are currently being invited from the community. Nominations (which can be self-nominations) should be in writing and delivered to myself directly. This can be done via email.

So far, I have had one amazing nomination and we are keen to get started. If you have some time on your hands (one meeting a month I promise) then come and see me.

Blessings,

Cassie
