CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Thanksgiving Mass

Our whole school community came together for our end-of-year Thanksgiving Mass, a beautiful opportunity to pause and give thanks for the year that has been. It was a special celebration of gratitude, reflection, and unity, as students, staff, and families gathered in prayer.

We were also deeply thankful for the generosity of our families, who donated festive food items, and personal toiletries to support the Inverell community through the St Vincent de Paul Society. These donations were presented at the end of the Mass and will help provide Christmas hampers for local families in need, making a meaningful difference at this special time of year.

The Mass was made even more special by the beautiful music and singing provided by students from Years 6 to 10. Their leadership and reverence created a joyful and prayerful atmosphere that truly enhanced the celebration.

We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Paul and Fr John for co-celebrating the Mass and for their ongoing support of our school community. It was a truly special occasion and a fitting way to come together in gratitude as we concluded the school year.

New Parish Priest

We offer our sincere thanks and best wishes to Fr Paul as he prepares to leave our parish after three years of dedicated service to take up a new role working in the Chancery.

During his time with us, Fr Paul has generously supported our school and parish community through his presence, leadership, and pastoral care. We are grateful for the way he has journeyed with our students, families, and staff, and for the faith, wisdom, and kindness he has shared so freely. We thank him for all he has given and wish him every blessing as he begins this next chapter of his ministry.

We also warmly welcome Fr Juvi, who will join our community in early January as Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Inverell. We look forward to welcoming Fr Juvi and to the journey ahead together as a parish and school community.

End of Year Message

As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to sincerely thank our families for the trust, support, and partnership you have shown throughout the year. Together, we have shared in the faith journey of our children and worked side by side to live out the Gospel values that are at the heart of Holy Trinity School.

As we enter the sacred season of Christmas, we are invited to slow down and reflect on the true meaning of this special time. At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ — Emmanuel, God with us. In the busyness of life, the Christmas story gently reminds us of what matters most: love, peace, hope, and the gift of family.

May this Christmas be a time of grace and joy for you and your loved ones. As you gather with family and friends, may the presence of Christ bring peace to your homes and warmth to your hearts. We pray that the light of the newborn Christ will guide and protect you during the holidays and into the New Year.

Thank you for the important role you play in nurturing faith in your children and for being such a valued part of our faith community. Wishing you a safe, restful, and holy Christmas, filled with God’s blessings.

Merry Christmas and every blessing,
