Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge 2024
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge for 2024 has commenced and runs until 6th September 2024. The challenge recognises the importance of reading for literacy development. All students have been registered to be part of the challenge but the challenge is not compulsory.
To log in as a student you must use a username and password that has been registered through the school (available from your child’s teacher or from the office). Parents and children are able to access the internet site, view the details and add books when completed.
To complete the challenge, students in Prep-Year 2 need to read 30 books (including 20 books from the challenge booklist) and students in Years 3-6 must read 15 books (including 10 books from the challenge booklist) by 6th September 2024. The books may be from the school, home or public library. To assist students in choosing library books on the challenge list we have placed a white dot on the cover of some of our books.
Once you have added all of the books that your child has read and they have completed the challenge, the list needs to be verified by the school office. Please add all books read to the website by 1st September 2024 to ensure the office staff have time to verify all entries. All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.
