STUDENT SERVICES

It has been a fantastic week at the College, with so many activities keeping our students engaged and involved in their programs.

A big thank you to our wonderful Chaplain, Emma, who organised our R U OK? Day activities, as well as the Year 12 Red Frogs visit and reflective afternoon. We are very fortunate to have Emma at the College. Thank you also to all the staff who assisted with these events and helped make them such a success.

Student Leadership Summit

On Monday, I took our Year 10 and 11 Student Councillors to the Bunbury Lighthouse for a Youth Leadership Summit. The students had the opportunity to network with student leaders from local high schools and participate in a range of leadership-focused activities.

A particularly valuable part of the day was exploring different leadership styles, considering each style's strengths and weaknesses, and reflecting on how we can work effectively with people who have different approaches to leadership.

Congratulations to all the students who attended for representing the College so well. It was fantastic to see them actively engaging in the activities and demonstrating their leadership skills.

Year 12 Student Councillors 2027

This week, I called for nominations for our 2027 Year 12 Student Councillors. In the coming weeks, each nominee will have the opportunity to speak to the Year 11 cohort and staff about their aspirations for the role and why they believe they are well suited to the position.

Year 11 students and staff will then vote, and we will announce the successful nominees early in Term 4. Best of luck to all nominees.

I would also like to acknowledge the excellent work of our outgoing Year 11 and 12 Student Councillors. They have been a fantastic group to work with and have made a positive contribution to the College throughout the year.

Attendance and Punctuality

A reminder to families, particularly those with students who drive themselves to school, that students are expected to arrive at the College by 7:50 am. Regular lateness can disrupt lessons and means students miss important learning opportunities at the start of the day. We appreciate families reinforcing the importance of arriving on time each morning.
