From Your P&F

Sports Canteens
Thank you to the parent volunteers who volunteered at least one hour of their time in Term 1:
Adam Bennett, Natasha Brown, Tess Calder, Thomas Craig, Chie Croft, Clint Easter, Louise Easter, Rob Edye, Caroline Feebrey, Nikki Ferguson, Jenny Fuller, Kas Gane, Sue Hartfiel, Nicole Hearley, Sinead Hourigan, Nicola Kaminski, Leigh Law, Alicia Lee, Claire Limbrick, Donna Lynn, Kirsten Mannix, Maria, Ella Mayall, Brett McSweeny, Paloma, Alison Phelan, Caroline Saunders, Tarla Steffens, Steel Tallon, Tiana Tamer, Karen Tickle, Alison Towers, Meg Wood, Anita Zorzetto.
We hope to see everyone back after the holidays ready to help with the biggest term of the year. Just one hour a term if you have a son playing sport is all it takes to keep the canteens open. This makes Saturday more manageable for all our home and visiting families, provides directions for many a lost visiting player, covers a not-so-surprising number of ‘ohhhhhhh …. I forgot my water bottle' events, and provides funds in support of school projects.
Life is busy. Saturdays are full. Be assured that an hour in one of the canteens goes very quickly, and then it’s done! One hour of your time really does make all the difference to keeping this much-valued service available for our Marist and AIC communities.
Don’t forget - Students can also volunteer in the Sports Canteens under the Mates program:
- Years 11 and 12 can Sign-Up and serve without a parent/guardian
- Year 5-10 can Sign-Up and serve alongside a parent/guardian
- Counter service only – no grills, or deep fryer
- Students need to be in uniform
- On completion of the shift, students need to register their time using the QR code available in each canteen. (Another volunteer or a member of the canteen staff can access the form if student does not have a phone.)
