Cross Country

Thankyou to everyone for a terrific Cross Country. Special thanks to Mr Coombs and Ms Maria for weeks and weeks of work preparing the track and ensuring the grounds were perfectly prepared. Huge thankyou to Mrs Stephens for her work behind the scenes and with the students to ensure everything went off without a hitch and also all of the Staff doing their jobs which are each individually very important. Finally, thankyou to the P&C for their support and donating zooper doopers for every student. 

 

Cook narrowly got the win over Oxley 179 to 164. This is a close margin and it shows how competitive the two teams are while still maintaining excellent sportsmanship and great resilience. I was very proud of all students for the toughness and grit they showed to do their best and keep running even when they were tired or exhausted.

District Sports Success

Well done to Elsie, Indigo, Lucia, Seth, Saxon, Brock and Lincoln for trialling for the Gympie District Basketball team. All players tried their best and showed alot of skill on the court. Congratulations to Seth and Lucia for successfully making the Gympie District Basketball team. They will begin training before heading to Kingaroy on on Tuesday 21st May. Mrs Stephens will be coaching the girls team, while Mr Elson will be coaching the boys team. Good luck!

 

Well done to Charlie, Harrison P and Aston for trialling for the Gympie District Touch Football team on Tuesday. They played well with Charlie and Harrison making the Poss/Probables game but just missing out. These boys are bottom age and will have more opportunities to make the team in future years. Good work boys!
