Curriculum Update – English

As we wrap up a fantastic term of learning, we would like to celebrate the outstanding effort students have shown in their English Speaking and Listening task. Students did a wonderful job analysing and deconstructing a range of texts, confidently sharing their opinions and, most importantly, explaining how and why they formed those opinions. It has been incredibly impressive to see students applying their thinking skills, using evidence from texts, and speaking with growing confidence and clarity.

Looking ahead to next term, students will be diving into a new and exciting unit focused on Information Reports. Throughout this unit, students will explore how to research, organise and present factual information. They will be writing reports on a variety of engaging topics, ranging from animals to important environmental issues such as erosion. This unit will support students in developing their ability to inform an audience using clear structure, accurate information, and topic-specific vocabulary.

We would like to congratulate all students on their hard work and commitment to their learning this term. Their progress is a reflection of both their efforts and the dedication of our teachers, who have worked tirelessly to guide, support and challenge students throughout the teaching and learning process. We look forward to another term of growth and success in English!

Kind regards,
