Student Reports - Prep to Year 3 - Book Week Author  

The Special Author: Emma Bowd 

On Wednesday all the grade twos came to the Gallery space to see a special author. She has lots of books her name was Emma Bowd.  

My favourite book of hers is Wonderful Shoes, but they are all good books. She gave the teachers bookmarks to give to us. They are really cool. It was a surprise to see her today. Everyone loved seeing her and had lots of questions for her. It was fun having her come to the school and she made a smile on everyone’s face.

Today we saw Emma Bowd she wrote Wonderful Shoes, The Christmas Tree Catastrophe, Time to go to the Park, This is my Happy Place and my favourite the day you were born.  

All of the grade twos were the first to read her new book Halloween. It is a book with lots of dogs and spooky houses.  

Emma Bowd said you have to be brave, creative and funny to be an author. Wonderful Shoes was the first book Emma wrote. It’s about little people wearing big shoes. 

We all got Emma Bowd bookmarks.
