Weekly Values Focus - Responsibility

Week 7: Footscray West students move responsibly through the school

At our school, we show responsibility by moving through the school in a calm and quiet way. This helps create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for everyone. When we move quietly, we show respect for other classes who are learning and for the people around us. We do this by walking safely through corridors, keeping to the left, and being quiet when moving between learning spaces or outside the learning spaces of others. We take care not to run inside, as this can be unsafe, and we make sure we are aware of others around us. We also move promptly and sensibly so we arrive at our next learning activity on time and ready to learn.

Moving quietly through the school helps minimise distractions and allows all students to stay focused on their learning. It also shows that we understand how our actions can impact others in shared spaces.

This week, think about how you move through the school. Are you walking safely and calmly? Are you being quiet? Are you helping create a respectful learning environment for others? These simple choices show responsibility and care for our whole school community.
