Wow, what a busy week we have had! To start the week off, our wonderful Faith and Social Justice leaders led us in a very reverent liturgy depicting the events of Holy Week. Ava, Zeke and Sophie did an amazing job sharing the story of the last few days of Jesus' life on earth whilst each level sang one of Andrew Chinn's songs related to Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday.
You are welcome to join us on the first Tuesday back in Term 2 to celebrate the most important event in the Christian Calendar- Jesus' Ressurection on Easter Sunday.
To end our busy week, the students participated in our Caritas Water Walk and helped to raise much needed funds for people living in poverty and unable to access clean water.
Not only were much needed funds raised, but the students had a very fun morning participating in the water activities. Huge thanks to my amazing Liturgy and Social Justice Team, specifically Clementine.C, Ava.L, Zeke, Scarlett.I, Nick.P, Asyia and Noah.F or all their work on the day filling up buckets, explaining activities, setting-up and packing up. The day would not have run with out them! They are absolutely awesome!!
With our ongoing support, Caritas Australia continues to provide practical solutions for communities in need, ensuring that clean water and education are not just dreams but realities.
Sincere thanks to everyone who donated generously to this cause. If anyone has not yet returned their donations for the Water Walk or their Project Compassion Boxes, it's not too late! Please send your donations to school by Thursday 24th April.
Finally, on behalf of all students and staff at St Louis', I'd like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable term break and may this Easter season be a time of renewed hope and joy, filled with the blessings of God's love and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ's resurrection.
Please see Mass times for Holy Week and Easter Celebrations at St Mary of the Cross Parish.
Also, ANZAC Day Pins and Wristbands will be available for sale from the office in first week of Term 2. Please support our local RSL and remember those who fought for our freedom, so that we could live in peace.
