Hi all

CARWATHA CUP

Sixty of our Year 5 students travelled to Noble Park to compete in the 7-a-side soccer tournament called the Carwatha Cup.  We had 6 teams in total compete and we had two teams make it to the Grand Final.  Whilst both teams came away with silver medals, it was a very successful day.  A few weeks ago, Erin McGuinness recommended this event to me.  She backed this up providing professional support in trialling, registering and organising coaches.  I would also like to thank her for ensuring all of the students that trialled got into a team and was able to participate and experience the cup.  The students were buzzing on their return back to school.

Thank you to the parents for getting to St Louis for the early departure.  Thank you to Frank, Cath P and Mel C for coaching.  Thank you to leadership for supporting the ever expanding numbers that allowed us to take such a large number.  Thank you to the parents that transported students with their own cars (because the bus was full!).

A huge thank you to Tracey and Erin for your incredible support and dedication in providing our students with such a fantastic sporting opportunity. Your efforts have made a real difference, and we’re truly grateful for everything you did to make this possible.

TERM TWO - WEEK ONE

• Wednesday 23rd April - Intraschool Athletics at Dolamore reserve
• Thursday 24th April - Intraschool Cross Country at School

The term starts with two big sports days for all of our Year 3s to 6s.  We require parent helpers for both days to ensure a successful running of the event.  If you can help our for either event, please email me at dandrew@stlouisaspendale.com
