Good afternoon families,

This was such a busy but wonderful week to finish the end of Term 1.

On Monday afternoon we started with our Holy Week Liturgy. Each level participated and sang an Andrew Chinn song that was written to commemorate the event of Holy Week.

Holy week liturgy . Thank you Mrs Douglas and the Year 6 Faith and Social justice team for telling the story of the Passion of Jesus.

Carwartha Cup 

Sixty of our Year 5 students travelled to Noble Park to compete in the 7-a-side Carwatha Cup.  We had 6 teams in total compete and we had two teams make it to the Grand Final.   Erin McGuinness and parents for their support Thank you to Frank, Cath P and Mel C for coaching.  

Easter Egg Raffle

Thank you to the PFA for organising the Easter Egg raffle. The children were so excited when the curtain revealed all the Easter Egg hampers to be won. The Easter Egg Raffle raised $2000. At the last PFA meeting we had a brief discussion on ideas as to what the PFA money could go towards this year. We will continue this discussion at the next meeting.

Caritas Water Walk

The students participated in our Caritas Water Walk and helped to raise much needed funds for people living in poverty and unable to access clean water.

Not only were much needed funds raised, but the students had a very fun morning participating in the water activities. Thank you to all the families who supported this fund raiser and to Mrs Douglas and the Year 6 faith and Social Justice team for organising this event.

Junior Athletic

On Thursday we held the junior athletic carnival and it was such a fun afternoon. All the students enjoyed participating in the tabloid activities. Well done to all the students for joining in the sprints and the relays and giving their very best. Thank you to Mr Andrew and the Year 6 House Spirit Leaders for organising the day. Thank you to the staff for their support as well.

Easter Bonnet Parade 

Wow !! The Easter bonnets were all so amazing and it is such a fun events for teachers and students alike. Thank you to all the hard working parents for the creative hats and your support. Thank you to Mrs Healy for again being a fantastic MC.
