Principal's News

Welcome to a New School Year at St Agatha’s!

Dear St Agatha’s Community,

As Term One draws to a close, we reflect on what a wonderful and eventful start to the year it has been.

Welcoming Our Foundation Students

Our newest members of the school community, our Foundation students, have settled in so well. It has been heartwarming to see their enthusiasm and excitement as they embrace school life, form new friendships, and engage in their learning. We are incredibly proud of how well they have adapted to their routines and we look forward to watching them continue to thrive.

Year 6 Camp at Camp Rumbug

Our Year 6 students had an amazing time on camp at Camp Rumbug! They tackled challenging hills, showed teamwork and courage in the canoes, and had a blast swinging high on the giant swing. A huge thank you to the teachers, Learning Support Officers, and Mrs. Blackney for their dedication in supporting our students throughout this adventure. Your care and guidance ensured the students had a safe and memorable experience.

School Captains in Action

Our School Captains have done a wonderful job running school tours for prospective families. Their confident leadership and welcoming nature have been impressive, and we are grateful for their efforts in showcasing our school's values and spirit.

Class Representatives' Great Ideas

This term, our class representatives from Years 2-6 have been busy brainstorming ways to improve our school. Their fantastic ideas include:

Installing new soccer goals for the junior soccer oval.

Adding clear signs to explain the playground rules.

Placing a new bin near the oval to keep our grounds tidy.

Creating and displaying signs in the toilets to remind students to use soap responsibly.

We are proud of their initiative and look forward to implementing these improvements.

Building Project Update

Unfortunately, there have been some delays with our building project, and we are now anticipating the move into the new facilities to take place in mid-May. We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure everything is completed to the highest standard.

Easter Raffle and End of Term Assembly

Good luck to all the families who have purchased tickets for our Easter raffle! Winners will be announced at our end-of-term assembly on Monday at 2:45pm.

Stations of the Cross Liturgy

On the last day of term, next Friday, we will gather for a Stations of the Cross liturgy. All families are warmly invited to join us as we reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross.

As we approach Holy Week, we are reminded of the journey Jesus took and the ultimate sacrifice He made for us. It is a time for reflection, prayer, and gratitude. May we all strive to walk in Jesus' footsteps, showing kindness, compassion, and love to those around us.

Loving Father,
As we journey through Holy Week, help us to remember the love and sacrifice of Jesus. May we follow His example of humility, forgiveness, and compassion. Guide us to be peacemakers in our school, homes, and communities.
Amen.

We wish all our students and families a restful and joyful Easter break.

See you in Term Two!
