What's been happening this week?

THE JOY OF READING

The Year 3/4 students thoroughly enjoyed reading with their learning buddies during our Close Reading sessions. Together, they explored texts in greater depth, comparing characters and discussing their similarities and differences. Students also examined the author's choice of language and how it was used to build suspense and engage readers.

FIRE FIGHTER VISIT

Our Preps thoroughly enjoyed today's Firefighters visit.  They learnt all about fire safety including "STOP, DROP, COVER, ROLL" and "CRAWL DOWN LOW, GO, GO, GO"!  We are always very grateful for the wonderful work our essential workers do and for taking the time to help educate our students.

PERFORMING ARTS FUN

Grade 3/4: Students have been developing their drama skills through improvisation activities, exploring character, voice, movement, and spontaneous storytelling.

Grade 5/6: Students have been rehearsing their scripted plays, focusing on characterisation, expression, stage presence, and collaborative performance skills.
