From the Classroom

Grade 1/2 Henri Rousseau jungles
Students have explored and discussed the world famous jungle artworks by Henri Rousseau. They have identified how Rousseau uses shapes, lines, and colour to create his jungle scenes. Students then created their own jungle artwork featuring hidden animals. They were encouraged to use layering and overlapping to show depth in their artwork. Students drew and outlined their jungle scene with black marker, and coloured with oil pastels.
