Thank You to Our Wonderful Volunteers!

As we come to the end of another fantastic year at Hackham East Primary School, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents, caregivers, and community members who have volunteered their time and skills to support our students and staff. Your efforts have truly made a difference in our school community!

This year, our volunteers have helped out in so many different ways. Some of you have assisted in coordinating fundraising activities such as sausage sizzles and the colour fun run. Others have listened to children read, or supported excursions and whole-school events. We have volunteers who run the Second-hand Uniform Shop and volunteers who have met regularly to create our draft site Reconciliation Action Plan. Our breakfast club and canteen lunch orders are only possible with volunteer help. Every contribution has been so greatly appreciated.

The benefits to our school community are enormous. With volunteer help, we can provide richer experiences for our students, raise money and most importantly – show our children that their school matters and is supported by the community.

Why Volunteer?

There are also many rewards for volunteers themselves. Many families find that volunteering at school is a wonderful way to make new friends, build connections, and feel more involved with our school community. Children absolutely love seeing their parents and carers helping out and being part of their school world!

How can I be a volunteer next year?

If you’re interested in volunteering in 2026, we would love to welcome you! To keep everyone safe, all volunteers must complete some simple paperwork, including a Working With Children Check and RAN-EC training. If you would like more information or need help with the forms, please pop into the office or contact us by phone. We’ll make sure you have everything you need to get started.
