OUR FAITH

PRAYER
Gracious God,
We thank you for mothers- our own mothers and mothers everywhere. We pray for those entrusted with the responsibility of motherhood. Grant each mother your wisdom, guidance and strength and give to each of them patience, devotion and dedication. We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen
We pray ...
for Father Clarence, who is recovering from an injury, and for all candidates preparing to make their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist this term.
MOTHER'S DAY MASS
What a beautiful morning we shared this past Friday! Our Mother’s Day Mass was a truly heart-warming occasion, filled with reflection, gratitude, and the joyful presence of our school community. It was wonderful to see so many mothers, grandmothers, and the many significant women who play such a vital role in our students' lives there.
We would like to extend a very special thank you to Fr. John and Deacon Allem for celebrating this Mass with us. Their thoughtful words and guidance helped us all reflect on the profound gift of motherhood.
To all our readers and student volunteers who participated so reverently, and to the families who joined us in prayer: thank you. We hope you all had a very happy and blessed Mother’s Day!
FAMILY MASS - YEAR 2 & FIRST EUCHARIST & FIRST RECONCILATION CANDIDATES
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Family Mass. Seeing so many of our students sitting alongside their parents and siblings was a beautiful testament to the strength of our community.
We are especially grateful to the many students who volunteered to lead us in prayer as readers. Stepping up to the lectern takes courage, and your reverent contributions made the mass truly special. Thank you to the families for supporting your children in these roles—it was a morning filled with faith, fellowship, and joy.
Our next Family Mass will be on Sunday, 31st May. We encourage everyone to attend. Yr 4 will host and lead the readings.
FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST EUCHARIST
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation and program have begun for our students and parents in Year 3. Any parents who did not attend the Parent Information sessions will need to go to the St Nicholas Parish Office in Marius Street during office hours to collect an Information Pack.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Get ready to celebrate! Catholic Schools Week is fast approaching, taking place in Week 6 (24th May – 29th May). This is a special time on our school calendar when we join thousands of students, teachers, and families across the diocese to celebrate the unique identity and spirit of Catholic education.
This year’s theme, "Our Hope-Filled Future," invites us to look forward with confidence and joy. It is a time to reflect on how our faith provides a steady foundation for our students as they grow into the leaders, dreamers, and compassionate citizens of tomorrow.
A significant highlight of the week will be the Deanery Mass, held at St Nicholas Church on Tuesday, 26th May. This Mass is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather with neighbouring schools in our Deanery to pray, sing, and celebrate our shared mission. As we gather, we celebrate the promise and potential of our young people—the very heart of our hope-filled future.
