Our Year 7 students have taken part in the Love Bites Junior Program, a nationally recognised Respectful Relationships initiative delivered through NAPCAN.

Through a series of engaging and interactive sessions, students developed greater confidence, strengthened communication skills, and deepened their understanding of what safe, positive friendships and relationships look like.

Throughout the program, students explored their rights and responsibilities, explored the impact of stereotypes, learned how to identify unsafe and unhealthy relationships, discovered where and how to seek support, and discussed the importance of caring for and looking out for one another. Students were also made familiar with local support services and our school wellbeing team, who were present and accessible during the sessions.

As a culminating activity, students worked collaboratively to design their own respectful relationships campaigns. Year 7 students created jigsaw puzzles featuring meaningful messages and reflections they felt were important to share with the wider school community, all focused on promoting the key messages from this program. These puzzles will be displayed and used in Student Services and wellbeing areas across the sub‑schools.

This year, we will be facilitating Love Bites across three cohorts: Our Year 7's, 9's and 10's.
