RIVER DETECTIVES

We are thrilled to have recently signed up to the River Detectives program. This provides a fantastic opportunity for students to connect to local waterways, be involved in hands-on citizen science activities, learn about sustainability, culture and care of country.  

The Grade 1 and 4 students recently had Nicole Howie visit, who many students recognised as their Huntly kindergarten teacher! Nicole helped us complete our first water quality test with a sample from a nearby section of the Bendigo Creek.  

Throughout the year all students will be involved in the program both in their STEM lessons and incursions. We are excited to see where this takes us!
