Mission Day - Wednesday 29th of October

Sunday 19th of October, 2025, marks World Mission Day in our Liturgical Calendar. The theme, inspired by Pope Francis' message for World Mission Sunday 2025 and carried forward by Pope Leo XIV, "Missionaries of Hope Among All Peoples," highlights hope and unity, emphasising how we can collectively turn our faith into action. He reminds “individual Christians and the entire Church, the community of the baptized, of our fundamental vocation to be, in the footsteps of Christ and His messengers.”

On Wednesday 29th of October, we will be raising funds for the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) to benefit students across the Archdiocese and further strengthen the spirit of compassion and service within our school community.

To acknowledge Mission Day,  students will take part in a crazy hair and/or sock day! Kindergarten to Year 2 are also invited to bring in a soft toy and have a teddy bears picnic on the playground from 10:30 am.

Students are allowed to wear mufti on this special day and are asked to bring a gold coin donation to simultaneously support the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF).

All Saints Day 1st November & All Souls Day Procession 2nd of November

November is dedicated to the Faithful Departed, those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, awaiting the glory of the Resurrection.

All Saints Day is a time to honour and remember all the saints who lived lives of faith and holiness. It reminds us that we are all called to be saints by following Jesus’ example through love, kindness and service to others. The day encourages us to be inspired by the courage and devotion of those who came before us. It is a celebration of the unity of all God’s people, both in heaven and on earth.

Dear God, thank you for the example of the Saints. I desire to join in their company, worshipping you forever in Heaven. Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ. Please help me to conform myself to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did. Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do, to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbours. Amen.

November 2nd is All Souls Day. On this day, many people celebrate their loved ones who have passed away in various ways. This could mean visiting the cemetery, lighting a candle at mass in honour of them or cooking a meal that creates a memory of that special someone.

To honour and remember all the special people who have left us, we will be having a candlelight procession on Monday 3rd of November at 6:30 pm, commencing in the St Francis Xavier Church. You are invited to pause and take a moment of silence for the departed.

Grade Masses

Throughout this term, grade masses will be taking place at 9:15am. These masses are prepared and organised by classroom teachers. Parents and parishioners are welcome to attend these celebrations and join us in prayer.

Please see the grade masses below:

  • Year 1 & 5 - Friday 31st October
  • Kindergarten & Year 6 - Thursday 6th November
  • Year 2, 3 & 4 - Thursday 13th November
