Principal's Report

As we head into the middle of Term Four it is a time for our Senior Students to focus on exams and their movement into early commencement programs or graduation. It is also time across the school to reflect on and celebrate many of the wonderful achievements that students at Epping Secondary College have accomplished.
Earlier this term we celebrated the graduation of students who took part in the Raise Mentoring program, an initiative designed to support young people in developing skills to better cope with life’s challenges. The strategies and tools learnt through the program will continue to serve them well throughout their lives.
Over the past six months, students have met weekly with the same mentor in a one-on-one setting. These trusted relationships allowed students to work on set weekly topics or bring their own goals and concerns to the sessions, making each conversation meaningful and relevant.
I was pleased to attend the graduation ceremony and personally congratulate our students as I presented them with their certificates of completion.
Our school community came together to acknowledge R U OK? Day — a National Day of Action dedicated to reminding everyone to check in with those around them and ask a simple but powerful question: "Are you OK?"
We encouraged students and staff to take time out to connect, support each other, and learn how to have meaningful conversations that could make a real difference.
We are so proud of Jack and Jay Stilsby, members of our Epping Secondary College community, who competed in New Zealand at the 2025 HoopNation U16 Boys A-League! Their team went undefeated and claimed the Gold Medal in a thrilling 2-point win!
A reminder that the Arts show will be held on Thursday 4th December and we invite all students, parents and families to come along and see the amazing work showcased on this night.
Our Year 12 students have concluded their classes for the final time, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
Best wishes
Neil Baillie
College Principal
