Positive Climate for Learning

Term Four has begun with a very busy start, with many of activities occurring across the school, and many more to come.
Our Year 12 students have completed their formal classes for the year and began celebrating the end of their secondary school years at the start of this term with:
- Pyjama Day.
- Decades Dress Up Day.
- Anything But a Suitcase Day.
- Dress Up as Future Career Day.
Last Friday our Year 12s enjoyed their Celebration Day, marking the official end of their secondary classes. Students had a fantastic morning celebrating this day and the school is so proud of how strongly all students upheld and displayed our school values.
We wish all our Year 12s the very best in their future endeavours, and to those who are undertaking exams.
Other year levels have been very busy this term, with an array of activities across the school:
- Last Thursday our Year 11 VCE Vocational Major students hosted a Mental Health Fundraiser showcasing our school values not only through their teamwork in organising this event, but in their care for others.
- Our Year 10s have undertaken the annual Love Bites incursion, addressing important topics of respectful relationships and consent.
- Year 9s had a fantastic City Experience Day last Friday, with choices for students to participate in of:
- MCG Tour.
- Rock Climbing.
- Bowling/Laser Tag.
Ice Skating.
- Year 9 & 8 cohorts recently experienced Smashed performances, educating students about the risks and dangers of underage drinking.
- The Year 8s had a fun day in the city at the interactive excursion Monopoly Dreams promoting personal growth and stronger relationships held at Melbourne Central. Students developed life skills through fun, interactive activities focused on teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving.
A huge congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 students who represented our school in the regional basketball competition – their teamwork, determination and positive attitude were outstanding.
A big thank you to all the students who entered our Anti-Vape Poster Competition, proudly organised by DPV Health – their creativity, passion and powerful messages were inspiring. After carefully reviewing all the entries the winner of the $100 Rebel Sport voucher was Deakin from 9B. Deakin’s poster stood out for its strong message and eye-catching design. We’re proud of every student who took part.
Week Two this term saw our final 2026 House Assemblies, with the house achieving the most house points for the year awarded to Ignis.
Well done to all students for being awarded house points this year, in building a stronger school community and positive relationships across the school.
As Term Four continues we begin to welcome our 2026 Year 7 students as they start to explore the secondary years' experience and look forward to seeing these students again in coming weeks.
Enjoy your weekend.
