Kindness Cards

Over the last term, the Grade 6 leadership group has been working on a school-wide project. They decided on the theme of Kindness and this week have started to introduce Kindness Cards to students.

Kindness cards are a special card that the leaders will be giving to students at play times to recognise kind acts that they notice around the yard. If a student receives a Kindness Card, they will feature on this page in the next newsletter.

Each of the Kindness Cards have been designed by the Grade 6 leadership team and they all feature different designs. There are 8 Kindness Cards to collect.

Leaders will also be keeping track of the class who receives the most Kindness Cards and announcing the winning class each month at assembly. They can’t wait to highlight all the kindness around the school!

This week, the following students have received Kindness Cards:

Regional Tee Ball

Wednesday 20th August started with a nervous and cold 2* and finished with a very warm 17* and a happy smiley team.

Blake, Anna, Eli, Martin, Cooper, Logan, Jacob, Braxtyn and Harley all represented RHPS at Regional Tee Ball. These students were proudly supported by a great crew of family and friends - thank you!

The first game started with a quick lesson in tagging and other small rules to learn. The last game (and more importantly the last innings) was a glorious 7 runs to RHPS and 3 'outs' of the opposition. A spectacular finish!

Thank you RHPS Tee ball team for letting me part of your great day. You are a lovely team.

Big thanks to Erin Davies who knew the game and the rules!

Nice work everyone,

Helen Plunkett

PS - I hope the KFC was good!
