That’s a Wrap on Shrek The Musical JR! 

What an unforgettable journey it has been! A huge thank you to our wonderful Cavendish community (parents, staff, and helpers) who supported every step of this production. Whether you were sewing costumes, painting sets, running lines, or cheering from the sidelines, your efforts helped bring the magic of Shrek The Musical JR to life.

In just 10 short weeks, our students achieved something truly remarkable. They learned over 230 pages of script, mastered 39 songs, and brought 38 unique characters to life, all with only half a day of Performing Arts per week! Even more impressively, they had just three rehearsals on stage before the final performances, and only one full run-through with costumes, sets, microphones, and scene changes happening all at once.

Despite these challenges, they rose to the occasion like true professionals. The confidence, teamwork, and growth mindset they demonstrated throughout this process has been nothing short of inspiring. These are the kinds of experiences and friendships that create lasting school memories.

While it’s bittersweet to leave the world of Shrek behind, I have absolutely loved every minute of this production, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!
