Father’s Day wrap up. 

Well, the morning was a buzz! Donuts were scrumptious, coffee was hot and kids were loving the time with their dads, grandpas and special friends! Thank you to the following sponsors for your input into this event, Sawicki families - from Bay City Auto Group, Alla Sandler (Grade 2 and Grade 4 parent) from GNA Property, a buyers advocacy business and Oren Flamm from Flare Real Estate. When families help out it makes these events more fun and special for everyone! Thank you.

Followed by the DOGs lunch, at Stomping Ground Brewery, which was also a great success! Over 45 dads enjoyed lunch and beer and a great day out. Thanks to Oren and Greg for organising and hope all the dads had a great time. 

Uniform sale wrap up

What a huge success, we literally have no more uniforms to sell. Please check your stash over the holidays and donate what you can to the school. I’m sure soon your new uniforms will be too small! We hope to have another one towards the end of year especially for our new preps but we need stock.

Join us for a practical parent session with Daniel Taylor from the eSmart Schools team, covering simple, useful strategies to support children online - from starting conversations early and setting up parental controls to creating healthy family tech habits. All GPS parents are encouraged to attend!

DISCO

We are excited to share the 2026 Disco theme......the 80’s! Use the holidays as your time to get your outfits sorted! It's always the highlight of the school year for the kids! Check out some ideas attached...

TICKETS - The Disco is $20 to attend and this includes, DJ, dancing and one sausage sizzle (beef, kosher and veg available). Like last year, as directed by the Dept of Education, this event is cash free so students will need HERRRBy bucks to spend on the night. 1 HERRRBy Buck is equivalent to $1, Students can use the lanyard provided to hang their bucks, or bring a purse, wallet or bag to keep it in (just like their own credit card) We encourage parents to look at the price list and decide what your child may like to spend! (For example, 1 fairy floss, 1, popcorn, 2 baked goods, 1 hair spray, 3 photo booths, 1 arts and craft- will buy my child $20 HERRRBy bucks) HERRRBy bucks will be handed out in the week prior to the disco.

Compass Tix charges fees on transactions, so to help families reduce the amount of fees they pay, we have created Bundles.  In the above example, you would purchase 1 Disco Ticket and the $20 HERRRBy Bucks bundle. The disco ticket is valid for either disco. Multiple tickets and bundles can be bought. When purchasing, you will be asked to select some food options as well as child's name and year level.
