At the conclusion of the meet, CCS finished on top of the school leaderboard with an impressive 452 points, almost 50 points ahead of the next-placed school.

Cricket Teams Through to Region Finals

Our Year 7 and Year 9/10 Boys Cricket teams have both progressed through to the SSV Gippsland Region Finals next term following impressive wins against Lavalla Catholic College at the CCS ovals.

In the Inter Boys match, Lachie McMaster led the way with the bat, scoring an impressive 56, supported by Mac Birss with 43. With the ball, Sam Duffield (2/5), Kain Pritchett (2/14) and Koby MacFarlane (3/3) all made valuable contributions to secure the win.

In the Year 7 final, a strong team fielding performance restricted Lavalla to 92 runs, leaving CCS chasing 93 for victory. After cruising at 2/61, a mini collapse saw CCS lose four wickets for no runs across two overs. Lachie Ferguson showed great maturity and patience at the crease, remaining unbeaten on 38 to guide CCS over the line.

Congratulations to both teams on their fantastic performances. We look forward to seeing them take on the region's best next term.
