Year 9 SEPEP

In Year 9 PE this term we have been undertaking a SEPEP, this involves the students selecting teams, umpiring games, managing the scoring and determining the ladder. 

Our sport of focus for this program has been Speedball,  a sport which is a blend of soccer and netball. 

After four completed rounds we had our finals setup; top placed team Stoppsy FC straight through to the Grand Final, while second placed Attack Sharks would battle it out with third placed Smurfs for a chance at the top in the semifinal.

In the semifinal, with both teams missing key personnel, the Attack Sharks came out victorious 15 to 12. 

The Grand Final saw a tightly contested match, with the Attack Sharks playing a couple down taking a slim lead into half time. 

After the half Stoppsy FC came out determined to cut the deficit down and managed to take the lead late before the Attack Sharks managed to tie the game resulting in penalties. 

Teams were allowed to choose between either a penalty soccer kick or a shot from the top of the goal ring for netball. 

At the end of penalties the teams were still tied, resulting in shot-for-shot netball goals, with Stoppsy FC finally emerging victorious 13-12.
