House Reading Cup: competition now closed
The House Reading Cup competition has now come to an end for 2026, and I would like to congratulate all of our enthusiastic readers for their wonderful participation. Every book borrowed and every book read contributed points towards your house total and celebrated the joy of reading in our community.
The winning house will be announced at the Book Week Day Assembly on Thursday 17 September. Good luck to all houses!
Library Closure - Thursday Week 10 Before and After School
The library will be closed on Thursday 17th September before school and after school (3:00-3:30pm) as Mrs Sauvage will be coordinating Book Week events.
Ironside Book Week: Week 10 Thursday 17th September
We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week Day with our school community on Thursday 17 September (Week 10).
The Costume Parade will begin at 9:15am and will follow the same format as in 2025. Students in Years 3 to 6 will line the parade route while our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students parade through to the hall. They will then be followed by the Year 4, 5 and 6 cohorts. Please see the map below for details.
A short Book Week assembly will follow the parade, featuring a special book reading, the announcement of our Book of the Year Shadow Judging winners, and the presentation of the House Reading Cup. We look forward to sharing this celebration of books and reading with our students and families.
Help Us Grow Our Puzzle Collection
Students have been thoroughly enjoying our community puzzle table in the library. Children of all ages stop by to add a few pieces, work together with friends, and celebrate each new section completed. It has been wonderful to see students collaborating, problem-solving, and persevering through a shared challenge.
We need your help! Our students are completing a puzzle a week. Help us grow our puzzle collection. The library is currently seeking donations of complete jigsaw puzzles (200–1000 pieces) in good condition. If you have any puzzles at home that are no longer being used, we would be grateful for your support.
